Workbench 2025 is set to bring the Amiga community together once again for an incredible day of talks, trading, and tournaments. Taking place at Dodington Parish Hall in Chipping Sodbury near Bristol, the event promises a full day of retro excitement for fans across the UK. From long-time Amiga veterans to newcomers curious about the platform’s creative energy, there’s something here for everyone.
Organizers are determined to make Workbench 2025 the best event yet, with an impressive guest lineup and engaging activities. Tickets are available now through the Retro Directory website for £12 per adult. Children can attend for free with a parent or guardian, though advance purchase is required, tickets will not be sold at the door.
Guest Speakers
Workbench 2025 brings together some of the most recognizable names in Amiga history. Attendees can look forward to hearing from David J. Pleasance, former Commodore UK managing director; Stoo Cambridge, known for Cannon Fodder and Sensible Soccer; writer Phil South; Revolution Software’s Tony Warriner; Turbo Sprint developer Chris White; and acclaimed composer Allister Brimble. Each guest will share personal stories, technical insights, and memories from the Amiga’s golden years.
Activities and Layout
Running from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Workbench 2025 will fill the hall with exhibitions, vendors, and Amiga hardware in action. A limited number of “table tickets” will be available for visitors who want to showcase their own systems. The organizers are finalizing the venue layout to balance guest exhibits, traders, and community tables.
While there won’t be full food service on-site, visitors can grab refreshments from the nearby supermarket. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available in the hall kitchen throughout the day. A raffle is also being planned, with prize details expected soon.
Stunt Car Racer Tournament
This year, Workbench 2025 will feature an exciting Stunt Car Racer tournament, hosted by Gil. Participants will test their reflexes and racing skills on one of the Amiga’s most thrilling classics. Winners can expect prizes and bragging rights as they speed toward the finish line.
Venue and Parking
The event takes place at Dodington Parish Hall, Finch Road, Chipping Sodbury, Bristol (BS37 6JZ). The hall offers generous on-site parking, and the event has exclusive use of the grounds for the entire day.
