DEVELOPERS’ DEN: DARRELL ETHERINGTON
Over the past few years, we’ve been lucky enough to link up and chat with many game developers who have contributed to the history of our beloved breadbin’s impressive back catalog. And as we start to look further back and delve deeper into some of those earlier titles, we begin to get a clearer insight into where those games came from and how they evolved through the years…

This takes me to this issue’s game developer Darrell Etherington, who started producing Commodore 64 games for Anirog Software way back in 1983 and tried his hand at recreating some of the top arcade titles of that era. We couldn’t resist hunting him down and firing a number of questions his way to find out more about his journey through the world of C64 game development.
