Commodore 1541 & 1571 Disk Drive Power Supply Replacement

321

If someone has a drive that requires a new power supply, whether because the original has failed or the drive has a fixed voltage input for another region and needs to be used on a different mains supply, then this video is for them.

There are many videos available that show how to do this, but the ANT&TEC method is a little different and is believed to make the job easier.

The parts used in this video are inexpensive, making it more sensible to replace rather than repair or modify the old power supplies. This also makes the 1541 a bit lighter!

The two drives used in the video originally had a 120VAC 60Hz input voltage. Afterward, they support a 100-240VAC 50/60Hz input.
