10MARC – Amiga PiStorm32 Lite With New AGA Speedup

487

On the latest episode of the 10 Minute Amiga Retro Cast, Douglas investigates the PiStorm32 Lite board’s newest update, which boosts both AGA Chipset and CHIP RAM access.

Developed by Claude Schwarz, the PiStorm32-Lite is an accelerator created specifically for the Commodore Amiga 1200 computer.

By harnessing the computational power of a Raspberry Pi, this device improves on Amiga 1200 speeds significantly beyond what was possible with its original CPU alone. The Raspberry Pi’s software emulation of the 680×0 CPU utilizes Emu68 developed by Michal Schulz.

It should be noted that this project is a community effort distributed through well-established vendors like Amiga Kit.
