Hare Basic is a fast, integer-only BASIC interpreter with a limited instruction set, designed for the Commodore 64 and VIC-20 by Aleksi Eeben. Released for free download in May 2024, it includes an excellent handbook and a distribution disk packed with impressive example programs. Robin had a blast creating a game prototype with Hare Basic, finding it surprisingly fast and user-friendly.
