In this episode of Chris Edwards Restoration, Chris teams up for a final collaboration with Q. He updates a PiStorm to the latest core for Q’s Amiga 1200, although the chip RAM issue remains unresolved—a deeper dive into this mystery is promised in a future video. Chris also inspects a broken 1084S monitor that’s been out of commission for a while. With buttons damaged and something having popped, a visual inspection reveals only burnt-in dust, with no new signs of explosions or explanations. After checking for cold solder joints, Chris decides to pass on dealing with the flyback transformer—partly due to not having one on hand, and partly because the 22-24KV high voltage is a bit intimidating. So, the monitor remains on the floor for now. Anyone in need of a busted 1084S?
