In a new episode of Chris Edwards Restoration, Chris examines a malfunctioning 3640 accelerator, which shows signs of capacitor leakage and corrosion on some of the lower logic pins. The key issue lies with C102B, which leaked into the internal layers of the accelerator, bonding the VCC and ground planes. To resolve the problem, Chris sent the board to Thomas Andrews of Amiga of Rochester. Thomas had replacement boards available to swap out the faulty components. Chris sent two broken boards in exchange for one repaired unit, allowing Thomas to potentially fix and sell the other as compensation for his services.
