In this video, Stefan Nordlander constructs a Mini-ITX Amiga 500 using a prototype Easy Amy Mini-ITX motherboard, transferring all the CBM and Motorola ICs from his original Amiga 500.
The Easy Amy project, spearheaded by ENTERLOGIC, aimed to create a 100% through-hole Mini-ITX Amiga-compatible motherboard, and it succeeded. The design is exceptionally compact, with 1M CHIP RAM soldered directly onto the main PCB, making assembly and troubleshooting quite challenging.
Although Easy Amy was only produced as a proof-of-concept and never released to the public, it represented a significant step towards developing the Denise motherboard. But that’s another story.
