The next Amiga Future Issue is almost here—and it’s shaping up to be a summer treat for retro computing fans. Scheduled for release in July 2025, Amiga Future 175 (in both German and English) packs another diverse lineup of interviews, reviews, workshops, and special features celebrating 40 years of the Amiga platform.
This issue continues the conversation with Jon Bohmer in Part 2 of his interview and adds a fresh Q&A with composer Tim Wright. There’s also a look ahead at Playfield, one of the projects currently in development. But what really makes this edition of Amiga Future Issue stand out is its deep dive into Amiga’s 3D capabilities, covered in the Knowledge series under “The Third Dimension.”
Of course, there’s no shortage of software coverage. The review section includes Aminer, Speed Haste, Burgertime, Black Magic, Rocket Attack, and Ramses—a board game given the Amiga treatment. Fans of tinkering with hardware will want to check out the review of a mechanical keyboard upgrade for the Amiga 1200. There’s also a spotlight on AmigaOS 3.2.3 and the latest updates from Aminet.
The special features continue with Trevors Soapbox 10, a tribute to Cinemaware in “Beyond the Screen,” and Part 2 of the anniversary retrospective titled 40 Years of Amiga: A Reset with the Amiga 500 & 2000. Also in the mix is a look at the Amiga HAM-E graphics enhancer and a full write-up on Electric Black Sheep‘s creative output.
Workshops this time include a practical Samba setup guide and the aforementioned 3D graphics exploration—perfect for Amiga users wanting to push their classic machines further.
The included CoverCD offers extras like Blockhead and Blockhead II, plus a wide assortment of software for AmigaOS 4, AROS, MorphOS, and Classic Amiga systems. Highlights include AmiArcadia, iGame v2.5.2, SpeedHaste, Lite-XL, and even a poker card simulator under AROS.
As always, the team at Amiga Future reminds readers that last-minute changes may occur—but even without surprises, this issue is packed.
