AmigaOS 3.2 just got a little sharper, thanks to Hyperion Entertainment’s third free update. Anyone who’s been keeping their classic Amiga machines running strong will want to take a close look at what’s included in this new release.

Update 3 builds on version 3.2.2 and brings two years of work into one solid package. The team behind it focused on cleaning things up, squashing bugs, and refining key features across the board. You won’t find flashy gimmicks here—just meaningful changes that improve how the system runs day-to-day.

Here’s what’s new:

  • ReAction classes have been updated across the board, which should make for smoother interface interactions.
  • TextEditor got smarter. Users can now create a custom menu with macros, giving more control over how text editing behaves.
  • The OS no longer reserves 12 KB of chip RAM unnecessarily—great news for those squeezing every byte out of older hardware.
  • A new Kickstart 3.2.3 ROM is part of the package.
  • Over 50 other fixes have been applied, with improvements to tools like DiskDoctor and HDToolbox, which many users still rely on.

This update doesn’t reinvent anything—it tightens the bolts and polishes what’s already there. For longtime users and developers, it’s a nice step forward.

If you’re a registered user, Update 3 is ready to download now on the official site.
