BackBit Impawsible Episode 3: Making the Bitmaps

Welcome to the third episode of Lupe Darksnout‘s Backbit Impawsible series.

With a color-conversion strategy implemented, Lupe is now able to transform his video clip’s Windows bitmaps into formats compatible with the Commodore 64. He determines the three fixed colors for each scene, while the program intelligently selects the optimal color RAM value for each individual cell. This balanced approach ensures the final visuals are both accurate and visually appealing on the Commodore 64’s hardware.
