The year is the 1980s—or perhaps closer to 4000 BC. Two groundbreaking “innovations” present an exciting career path for brawny, long-haired men with crown-shaped birthmarks (aside from powering treadmills or hauling stones at quarries). Armed with iron swords and clad in minimal attire, these warriors can now embrace life as barbarian fighters, competing in pit battles or seeking treasures in perilous dungeons and lavish palaces.
Soiled Iron is a classic two-player sword-fighting game for the Commodore 64. It features both a quest mode and a competitive one-on-one fighting experience, delivering action-packed gameplay with retro charm.
The game is fully compatible with both PAL and NTSC systems and supports all C64 hardware and emulation variants.
Two loading options are available:
- Disk Image – Includes an intro and a fast loader but requires a physical 1541 disk drive or accurate true-drive emulation.
- PRG Files – Provides two standalone game files (one for each mode), which can be loaded via tape, SD2IEC, USB stick, or various emulators.
The game is free to play under a “Name Your Own Price” model, with a suggested contribution of $2.00. Players are encouraged to support the developer by paying what they feel the game is worth.
Prepare to wield your blade and reclaim glory in Soiled Iron!
