BitBench is a proof of concept for an early Windows-style user interface for the Commander X16.
It features process separation and management, memory management, a windowing system, and event handling. However, it does not include a control toolkit for creating user interfaces.
BitBench is designed to function as an operating system or a window UI for a single application.
The software was developed using BitMagic, a compiler, debugger, and emulator for Windows and Linux.
