In the latest video from C64 OS, the Today Utility in version 1.06 introduces a larger, multi-line notes field, along with several additional, subtle features. Notably, users can now paste a datetime directly from the clipboard into the Today Utility to quickly navigate to a specific date.
The datetime can be copied from any source, but the process is made even easier with a double-click on the current date within the Today Utility, which opens the Date Picker Utility. From there, users can select any date and copy it to the clipboard, then return to the Today Utility to paste it directly.
This enhancement demonstrates how existing OS features, such as the Date Picker Utility and clipboard, can be leveraged to expand functionality with minimal added complexity.
