YARC – Yet Another Retro Channel along with his friend, Lee, of More Fun Making It and More Fun Making It 2 is doing a charity 12-hour livestream again this year to support The Befriending Scheme, an organization that’s near and dear to his heart and many other vintage and retro technology YouTubers are coming together to support his efforts.
The livestream is scheduled for Saturday, 19 October 2024, starting at 11 a.m. British Summer Time (6 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time) and will run for 12 hours. Lee has lined up a host of special guests to join him throughout the event. The auctions are expected to close during the stream, and viewers will be watching closely to see how near the target of £15,000.00 can be reached to support the Befriending Scheme’s purchase of mini-donkeys. It promises to be an exciting and engaging event.
This year’s event theme is Commodore, following last year’s focus on Sinclair. As part of the event, the host has chosen to sell their best example of a classic Commodore 64, one of the machines they repaired during a livestream in July 2023.
