Commodore Magic Voice Software Prototype and Easter Eggs

165

In this episode of 8-bit Show & Tell, the focus is on the Commodore Magic Voice Speech Module. Although it promised a comprehensive library of compatible software for the Commodore 64, only a few titles were actually released. Robin examines the three titles that support Magic Voice: GORF, Wizard of Wor, and the rare A Bee C’s, along with some little-known Easter eggs in these games. Additionally, he explores the newly discovered “Magic Desk 1+” prototype, which adds voice support to the original “Magic Desk.” This prototype was programmed by John Feagans and preserved by Chuck Hutchins and Santo Nucifora.
