The Commodoreträffen 2025 weekend in Täby, Sweden, celebrated the fourth year of this beloved community gathering alongside the 40th anniversaries of the Commodore 128 and Amiga. Hosted by the Swedish Commodore Club (SCK) at Kvarntorpsgården, the event welcomed more than 60 visitors—its biggest turnout yet.

Per and Adam started early Friday, setting up tables, chairs, and cables. Jonas added energy to the hall with retro SID music. The café became both a dining area and display space for club projects. Ola introduced a new arcade corner, where visitors could enjoy authentic vintage cabinets—a crowd favorite.

A Global Guest and Local Highlights

A special moment came when Robert Bernardo arrived from California. Known for the Fresno Commodore User Group and PaCommEx, he captured the event’s excitement in an eight-minute walk-through video for those who couldn’t attend.

Saturday brought the biggest crowds. The room filled with classic hardware, trading tables, and lively conversation. At 2 p.m., the traditional “tip walk” led attendees outdoors for a lighthearted forest quiz, keeping the Commodore theme alive. At 3 p.m., SCK hardware designer Magnus Anemo delivered an engaging talk on modern hardware for vintage systems. His full session is available on Robert’s YouTube channel and in the SCK archive.

RJ Mical and the Saturday Night Finale

The evening peaked with a talk by RJ Mical, the legendary developer behind the Amiga. SCK moderator Patrik Gahm guided the live session, streamed and projected on the main stage wall. The discussion brought laughs, stories, and deep appreciation from the crowd before the night wound down.

Looking Ahead to 2026

On Sunday, attendees packed up and helped restore Kvarntorpsgården. Another successful meeting came to a close. With each passing year, the Commodoreträffen strengthens Sweden’s retro community. The next event is already set for the first weekend of September 2026.
