Here are some classic Commodore 64 copy protection ads. Enjoy!
Really cool to see the old print ads and remember a time when we had paper catalogs and had to send a check or money order to get something.
Here's another classic. Always liked this cart as it worked in both the C64 and C128 modes.
Here's another group of C64 magazine ads and a VIC-20 with Shatner just for good luck.
Chip Level Designs (aka the Basement Boys of Fast Hack'em fame) created and sold the RAMBOard and sold it between 1988-89.
One of my favorites is the KETEK Command Center. It was made for the 64 and the 128. Unfortunately, you don't see many of them out there, and I think the one I had, a 128 version, got thrown away about 20 years ago. I might still have it stored away from a previous move, but I haven't seen it. Sadly the company went out of business when their warehouse had a fire. So what's out there is all there's ever going to be.
File this under "This is cool!"
Smart Cart by Merritt Micro Systems. C64 cartridge backup system.
Here's another winner. Pro-Line Software featuring Jim Butterfield, Brad Templeton & Steve Punter.
Here's an oddity. This is the Commander II 3rd party floppy disk drive from Commander Electronic Systems. I've never seen one out in the world and guess that production was limited. Still a cool ad to see.
🤣 That thing is a beast!! I'll never forget when I got my 1541 for Christmas. Moving from a tape drive to a disk drive is a REALLY big deal for a 15 year old!! I couldn't sleep Christmas Eve night because I knew mom had bought it (I peeked under her bed where she would hide the presents).
