Thomas Christoph from Corei64.com has just announced the opening of the waiting list for his CMD replica storage devices. You will need to send him an e-mail at [email protected] or send him a FB message with what you’d like, and he’ll put you on the list.

For now, orders will not be available in the shop but will be fulfilled through a waiting list. No payment is required to join the list—just provide your name and the items you’re interested in.

All drives will require a 1541-II/1581 power supply, which many users already have. To keep costs down and avoid stocking unnecessary inventory, power supplies will not be included with the drives. They’re easy to source and would significantly increase shipping costs.

Pricing (in USD) is as follows:
– HD with BlueSCSI v2 & 32GB SD card in FDM/PLA plastic case: $770
– HD with BlueSCSI v2 & 32GB SD card in metal case: $920
– HD without SD2SCSI card in FDM/PLA plastic case: $720
– HD without SD2SCSI card in metal case: $870

If you prefer a drive without the BlueSCSI board and already have a Zulu, SD2SCSI, or AztecMonster, you can request the appropriate mounting included with your drive.

For those looking to build their own drives, blank boards with licensed GALs/DriveROM are available:
– HD bare PCB and button/LED PCB with GALs & DriveROM: $135
– HD-4000 front and back drive labels: $35 per set

Shipping costs will be added based on your location.

Please note that these drives are labor-intensive and hand-built by one person. All chips are socketed for easy future maintenance, ensuring long-term serviceability.

If you’re building your own drive, both 3D printable and metal cases will be available through PCBWay shared projects, where you can order the case in your desired color. A bill of materials (BOM) and reference photos for the assembled boards will be provided, similar to the FD-Series drive builds. This information may be moved to GitHub in the future, as it’s still a work in progress.

There is no set date for when orders will begin, but the “Build it yourself” option will likely be fulfilled first.

All options include licensing fees paid to the CMD rights owner.
