Deathflood: Curse of Oak Island Released

163

WindigoProductions has released Deathflood: Curse of Oak Island, the follow-up to 2024’s Deathflood: Dungeon of Doom. The new game continues the series’ signature tension and time pressure. Players must act quickly as floods rise through deadly underground passages.

This time, the setting draws on the legend of Oak Island’s hidden pirate treasure. For centuries, treasure hunters have sought its mystery. In the game, players explore those cursed tunnels, gather gold, and struggle to escape alive. Every move demands care, since one mistake can fill the chamber with water.

Fast, Fierce, and Fair

Deathflood: Curse of Oak Island runs on the Commodore 64 and feels instantly familiar. The joystick in port 2 controls every action. Gameplay mixes puzzle-solving and platforming, keeping each session short but intense.

The design rewards planning and precision. Players dodge traps, outsmart enemies, and look for safe ground as the water rises. Because timing is everything, even a small delay can turn victory into disaster.

The game targets PAL systems but remains playable on NTSC hardware. Although a few visual quirks may appear, performance stays smooth and engaging throughout.
