Dual SID Demo with USBSID-Pico v1.3 – Nah-Kolor’s “Multiverse 100%”

209

LouD presents a new Dual SID Demo using the USBSID-Pico v1.3 board, outfitted with one MOS6581 and one MOS8580 SID chip. This configuration highlights how different chip revisions contribute to the overall stereo output and tonal balance.

The featured track in this Dual SID Demo is “Multiverse 100%” (2024) by Nah-Kolor, a group known for pushing the boundaries of SID-based audio. The playback was performed via the VICE emulator, making it easy to compare how the mixed-chip setup handles dynamic stereo sound.

The demo has been re-uploaded for hardware test purposes, letting users evaluate the USBSID-Pico’s handling of dual-chip installations under real-world playback conditions. For purists and hardware testers alike, this Dual SID Demo offers a clear sonic benchmark.
