A Ridiculous Florida Man Game for the C64
Florida Man Saves the World is a brand-new Florida Man game for the Commodore 64, developed by NSkimN8r. It blends roguelike mechanics with chaotic humor, bizarre creatures, and an unforgettable sidekick—your pet alligator.
This isn’t your average dungeon crawler. In this Florida Man game, every punch drains your health, light is a limited resource, and even junk becomes a weapon. From alien invasions to possessed porta-potties, everything is out to get you.
Battle Aliens, Hoard Junk, Stay Alive
Navigate nine procedurally generated levels and collect all nine artifacts to face the alien overlord, Zadron. Each run is unpredictable. You’ll switch between controlling Florida Man and his gator pal using just a joystick in Port 2.
Use smarts—not fists—to survive. Hurl random items at enemies. Avoid traps. And whatever you do, don’t run out of light. There’s even a hidden boss stage and four alternate endings.
A Dev’s Love Letter to Weird
Programmed, illustrated, and scored by NSkimN8r (with art help from Rave), this Florida Man game is a compact, unpolished gem—just the way a C64 adventure should be. Minimalist design meets maximum chaos.
It runs smoothly on real NTSC and PAL hardware, as well as the VICE emulator (v3.7+). Tested setups include Commodore OS Vision and multiple classic C64 machines.
