I Broke My Commodore 64C, But Can I Fix It?

178

During the production of his latest video, Tim from Tim’s Retro Corner inadvertently damaged his Commodore 64C. The issue likely arose from plugging or unplugging the cartridge without ensuring the machine was powered off, or perhaps from connecting it at an incorrect angle—though the exact cause remains unclear. Unfortunately, the result was a completely non-functional unit, displaying nothing but a black screen.

Now, Tim faces the challenge of diagnosing the damage and repairing the system. The hope is that the cost of replacement components doesn’t exceed what he originally paid for the machine (spoiler: it’s going to be close).
