A recent episode from the Infinite Frontiers channel explores the early days of Mastertronic, highlighting how the company sourced many of its games. During its first few months, Mastertronic collaborated with developers such as Mr Chip Software and Richard and David Darling to expand its library. Many of the Darlings’ Commodore 64 games were developed using their Games Creator package, though they were not particularly well received.
The episode takes viewers on a whirlwind tour of these early Games Creator titles, examining their place in Mastertronic’s history.
The video also features music from Shockway Rider and Crazy Comets, two Commodore 64 games re-released by Mastertronic. Both soundtracks were composed by the legendary Rob Hubbard.
