Over at the MEGA65 website they’ve just published some photos and a description of the prototype for the MEGA65 DevKit. As you can see from the photo at the top of the article the MEGA65 DevKit has a clear case and also that the case is not quite as wide. This is becuase the floppy drive has been moved to the side similar to an Amiga 500.

The developers have already discoverd some things they plan to improve on the DevKit and you should see those changes on the final version soon. In addition they plan to have the logo engraved on the final case as well.

UPDATE Dec 10, 2019 MEGA65 has added a new video detailing the Revision 2 update of the devkit prototype. The board has been lowered which required a new backplane and side parts. Now everything fits perfectly even if you wish to keep the FGPA proggers attached forever.

Stay tuned for more information on the MEGA65 as it becomes available.
