Platman MC – Multicolor Version of Platman for the Commodore 64

230

Platman MC is the multicolor version of Platman, a Commodore 64 game developed for the RGCD 16KB Compo 2015/16.

The game’s objective is to collect various items on the screen, primarily different types of fruit. Some levels also include a key, which is necessary to progress further. Additionally, certain screens feature pulsating power pills that, when consumed, grant Platman the ability to eat and eliminate ghosts within a limited time.

Players must also navigate a range of hazards, including traps, pits, and cannons that continuously fire bullets. If Platman comes into contact with these dangers, he will take damage.

Hardware Requirements:

Platman MC runs on an unexpanded Commodore 64 and requires only a joystick connected to Port Two. The game has been tested for compatibility with the following platforms:

  • Commodore 64
  • Commodore 64C
  • Both PAL and NTSC systems are supported.

Running the Game:

On a modern computer, players can use a Commodore 64 emulator such as VICE. The game can be loaded by opening the file “PlatmanMC.d64” in the emulator.
