Resurrecting The Dark Domain BBS

195

Back in the late 1980s, the world of online communication looked very different. Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) were the cutting edge, offering a place for people to connect, share files, and play games long before the internet became mainstream. One such BBS was The Dark Domain, operated by sysop The Dark Lord out of Minnesota. Running on CNet 12.0 software, it was a hub for local enthusiasts from 1987 to 1989. Fast forward to today, and the challenge was set: could this decades-old BBS be resurrected and restored to a functioning state? What began as a curiosity quickly became a full-fledged passion project spanning hundreds of hours.
