Some time ago, the creator of retrohax.net embarked on a vacuum-forming project. The main goal of this project is to vacuum-wrap keyboard keycaps with vinyl foil for protection and coloring. This method is superior to painting with semi-transparent paint. Vinyl wrapping offers greater durability, maintaining its color even after extensive use, unlike painted keycaps, which can fade with heavy typing.
