Slither Commodore 64 is a quick side project with charm, curiosity, and just enough crawl. Created by Milasoft using leftover assets from another title, it plays like a stripped-back Centipede. The centipede here moves in distinct steps—one character at a time—which makes it feel more like a bonus round than a full-blown shooter. And that’s exactly what it was meant to be.
The game includes music by Richard Bayliss and sprite artwork by Hend, giving it just the right touch of polish. Slither Commodore 64 doesn’t pretend to be flashy or smooth—it’s quirky, fun, and functional. Milasoft keeps things lighthearted but thoughtful, offering the game as a “Name Your Own Price” download. It’s free if you want it to be, but throwing a couple of dollars their way supports continued development in the 8-bit space.
Milasoft, based in Ontario, codes purely for the love of it. With a background in 6502 and 6510 assembly, they build Commodore 64 and PET games for the fun of creating and sharing. Most of their projects come with available source code—just ask.
