TeensyROM: Realtime Code Development on a Commodore 64 / 128

28

TeensyROM and the Desktop UI work together as a modern CI/CD-style tool, enabling seamless integration between coding on contemporary systems and testing on real C64/128 hardware without the need for emulation. Feedback from experienced developers is highly encouraged to further enhance this innovative workflow.

In this demonstration, C64Studio is used to create a simple BASIC program that outputs a PRG file into the project directory upon build. The Desktop UI then automatically transfers the file and launches it on the TeensyROM and C64. Importantly, C64Studio is not a requirement; any IDE or build process can be utilized as long as it generates a TeensyROM-compatible file saved to disk.
