The FPGA Recreation of the Amiga 3000 SuperDMAC

241

In this episode of Chris Edwards Restoration, the new FPGA recreation of the SuperDMAC, a chip once lost to time, is put to the test. This impressive recreation, developed by the ReDMAC Team (credited in the video), comes with special acknowledgments to Mike Taylor and Stefan R for their contributions and for allowing participation in the project. The SuperDMAC addresses DMA and onboard SCSI issues in the Amiga 3000, solving a long-standing problem with the BFG9060 and the system’s native SCSI. While still a work in progress with potential updates in the future, this episode invites viewers to join the journey and explore its capabilities.
