Have you ever wanted to make your own arcade game? Are you already a developer looking for a new challenge? Website The New Dimension (aka TND) has recently launched their annual SEUCK Competition for 2020. The site is run Richard Bayliss and he’s been running variations of these Competitions for at least a decade. This years event started on January 4th and will end on May 31st, 2020.

First things first, what is SEUCK? SEUCK is the acronym for the Shoot ‘Em Up Construction Kit which was created by Sensible Software and published by Outlaw in 1987. The kit was published for the Commodore 64, Amiga and Atari ST home computer platforms. SEUCK provides users a engine and set of tools to create their own arcade style games and was very well received by players and critics at the time.

All the information you could need for the competition can be found on the TND website. Rules, Prize, Showcase Entries and more. There’s also a tutorial section called SEUCK School that goes over the ins and outs of the SUECK framwork. So what are you waiting for? Time is a wasting!
