Today the Zzap! 64 team has announced their follow-up to Annual 2019 with a second edition for 2020. The new edition will cover games that have appeared on the Commodore 64 over the last year as well covering gems from the past.
Here’s a short note about the 2020 Annual from the Kickstarter page:
Roger has agreed once more to take the helm as the editor and Oli will take charge of the graphical style of the issue as well as creating a brand new cover in the style of the early issues of ZZap.
The annual will be hardback only and come in at 120 pages – it will be in full colour throughout.
We have once again decided to keep the new cover by Oliver Frey a surprise so that when the book arrives on your doorstep it will be the first time a reader of the annual will have rest their eyes on it. Oli will be dusting off his air brush once more to create the cover in the same way he created them back in the day and adding graphical touches throughout the annual just like he did for last year’s annual and the ZZap issues of yesteryear.
The Kickstarter for Zzap! 64 Annual 2020 started today and they’ve alrady met their initial goal of £29,159. There’s a stretch goal of £32,500 for a Zzap! 64 2020 Calender and that looks like it’s going to be easily achieved.
There are many Perks listed based off pledge amounts. One of those perks is a version of the new game The Lord of Dragonspire and the games creator Trevor Storey has released new gameplay footage just for the Zzap! 64 2020 Annual Kickstarter.
