Freaky Fish was originally the Design/Chaos Pty entry for the 2018 Reset64 4K Craptastic Competition. The initial concept was a cross between Bubble Bobble and Kaboom set underwater. After the competition there were a bunch of letover assets. Instead of letting them go to waste, Design/Chaos Pty has completely rebuilt the game engine for the deluxe version, adding those previously unused graphics, new bonus levels and original music.
